The team from years to come...
I hope this site had served all alumni well and i hope to see everyone staying supportive to all events which involves both the current team and the alumni. We have got an alumni boat taking part in this yr's June fest. The purpose of this participation is to show the support of the team, the sport and for everyone to stay in tune.
Our club has seen many ups and downs and i am glad we have come to this day where we slowly get together. There is talk of closing down the club. I am very sure if this is to happen, we certainly will feel utterly disappointed. It's inevitable when the society looks at performances and achievements. What i am aiming to do is to really show what makes this club different from all others in the school. Being there to help the team, getting all alumni together and maintaining this website... All this is just the little things i can do. But i believe with everyone's help and support, we can go beyond.
This team has a long history of a strong alumni support, esp the coach system. My coaches, Jack('92), Longsheng('92) and Tatliong('96), were the few who have returned. However their stay is always so shortlived as they get to their own lives. Soon even i too have to go soon as i got closer to completing my degree at NTU. I hope to see this system carry on. Every batch which graduate passing the baton down to the next. If anyone really wishes to come back but doubt themselves, the best is to think of what you believe in. You are always welcomed to return and help out.
I am planning to have a regular rowing session for both canoeing and dboat. So who is interested? After June fest, we will have trg twice a month maybe. That way, we do not need to train so hard when we are nearer to any competitions.
Just some thoughts i have on a Vesak Day...
